Who Are We?
Stephanie Frewen - Creative Director
I've been helping people to tell their stories for 30 years, as a radio presenter, actor, director, producer, scriptwriter, podcaster and voiceover artist. I’m an award winning scriptwriter who has worked with other writers to tell their stories in podcasts ‘The Author’s Tale’ and ‘My Tale to Tell’, and with young writers as a teacher with The School for Young Writers creating nearly 40 radio dramas.
Other work has included: academic publishing as a marketing executive with Oxford University Press UK during the transition to digital; television and film production; owned and operated a successful actors agency; provided casting services for TV and Film producers; teacher of drama and creative writing.
It's because of authors and publishers like you, who have recognised the need to embrace the ever increasing audio market and have their book available to an endless supply of 'readers' globally, that I’ve created Edition Audiobooks to work with you to get your book off the shelf and into the digital arena.
Laura Gartner - Technical Director
I'm an award winning audio producer who started my career in broadcasting at McGill University Montreal, Canada. I’ve worked as a producer for many community radio stations in Canada and in New Zealand. More recently I spent 10 years with PlainsFM here in Ōtautahi Christchurch, first as the Technical Producer and for the last 8 years as their content co-ordinator, working with all nationalities, from all walks of life.
Enjoying all things technical I’ve worked with various organisations as sound engineer including the New Zealand Society of Authors and at the other end of the fabulous spectrum, The Pioneer Pog 'n Scroggin' Bush Band for their performances around Otago and the Canberra Folk Festival in 2017. What a hoot!
Helping people to sound the best they can be is important to me.
